Education is an essential human right that allows people to change their living situations and their country as a whole. Unfortunately, in the Middle East and North Africa, the right to education is not equal across gender and society, causing many children to be left behind. MEPC strives to inform and raise awareness on issues revolving around the nexus of education and human rights through the quarterly Capitol Hill Conferences, journal articles, and Emerging Voices column. Additionally, MEPC seeks to educate policymakers and students alike about MENA culture through the TeachMideast program and create a holistic picture of the region.
