The Middle East Policy Council (MEPC) completed a merger transaction with the Washington Institute for Education and Research (WIER), a nonprofit organization formed for charitable and educational purposes. MEPC’s Board of Directors voted to approve the merger on October 24, 2025. MEPC will continue to publish the highly acclaimed Middle East Policy journal through Wiley. As part of WIER, MEPC will develop high-impact portfolios of research and analysis that will shape U.S. policy on the Middle East.
