Chas W. Freeman, Jr.
Ambassador Freeman is a retired U.S. Foreign Service officer and former president of the Middle East Policy Council (1997-2009). He was U.S. ambassador to Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War of 1991. The following is the text of his keynote address to the 21st Annual Arab-U.S. Policymakers Conference, sponsored by the National Council on U.S. -Arab Relations, October 25, 2012.
