In this clip from our recent conference, Crisis in Syria: What Are the U.S. Options?, Leon Hadar (Senior Analyst, Wikistrat) expresses skepticism that the Syrian conflict will result in the “good case scenario” of a moderate Islamist-Sunni government which is democratically elected and friendly to the United States and its allies. He urges a deeper examination of the domestic sources of the conflict and questions whether Syria actually represents a core U.S. national interest.
