The Middle East Policy Council’s 2024 “Welcome to Washington” diplomatic training seminar (1-5PM) and networking reception (5-7 PM) will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024, in Washington, D.C. This program empowers newly arriving diplomats with the knowledge and resources needed to navigate, network, and influence Washington’s complex political environment.
Our 2023 “Welcome to Washington” seminar featured 3 panels (exclusive to diplomats), “Congress & Foreign Policy,” “Navigating the Executive Branch,” and “The Impact of Nongovernmental Actors.” We look forward to facilitating another high-caliber set of seminars, which will also include a panel featuring 2024 election analysis and a panel on developing partnerships with private-sector business.
The “Welcome to Washington” reception will connect political, diplomatic, and private industry leaders in U.S.-MENA relations, advancing their abilities to navigate, network, and influence in Washington. Attendees will include foreign diplomats, U.S. executive branch leaders, congressional members and staff, think tank expert s, academics, journalists, and private industry professionals, as well as MEPC’s Board of Directors and 40 Under 40 Awardees.
All-day attendees of “Welcome to Washington” seminar will be awarded a “Washington Insiders” Certificate of Completion from the Middle East Policy Council and will be named on the Council’s website. Representative Mike Turner, Representative Gregory Meeks, and Saudi Ambassador to the U.S. H.R.H. Princess Reema bint Bandar were honored for their leadership in U.S.-Middle East relations at the evening reception last year and we look forward to recognizing our next set of honorees at our October 24, 2024 event.
We are actively seeking sponsors for this event. The Middle East Policy Council is a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and all donations are tax deductible. Contact rsvp@mepc.org to discuss partnership opportunity or reserve a spot at the event.
