As the world becomes increasingly interconnected through the internet and globalization, new threats and opportunities emerge in the cyber realm. Moreover, due to the unique geopolitical characteristics of the Middle East and North Africa, the cyber tools are becoming more utilized in regional politics that have ramifications on the global stage, such as hacking attacks of Aramco oil facilities in Saudi Arabia. Thus, MEPC aims to explore the emerging issues in cybersecurity, from cyber warfare to contemporary problems such as cryptocurrency and hacking, and the effects these tools will have on the region’s future.
