Mattair recently participated in a discussion, hosted by the National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations, on the Iran nuclear framework agreement recently reached by Tehran and the P5+1 (the United States, France, China, Russia, the U.K. and Germany). Dr. Mattair, author of Global Security Watch—Iran, discussed the reaction of the Gulf Arab states to the framework deal, as well as the implications a final agreement may have for Iran’s influence in the region.
